About Dr. Alonso Hernandez

Dayana Alonso Hernandez, MD, provides compassionate, evidence-based care and treats each patient with respect and understanding. 

Dr. Alonso Hernandez is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them make informed decisions about their health. She cares for women during well-woman visits, prenatal and contraceptive visits, as well as visits for a variety of gynecologic concerns. 

Originally trained as an ob-gyn in her native Cuba, Dr. Alonso Hernandez completed an additional obstetrics and gynecology residency at San Juan City Hospital in Puerto Rico, where she gained experience in gynecologic procedures, including urogynecology, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, and laparoscopy. She also cared for high-risk obstetrical patients in the hospital setting. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Alonso Hernandez enjoys traveling, watching TV, and spending time with her family.
