About Shelley
Shelley Renee, CNM, brings more than 15 years of experience caring for women and families in labor and delivery and women’s health, including six years as a certified nurse-midwife. Her extensive clinical background includes caring for patients with routine and high-risk pregnancies, supporting vaginal births and VBACs, and managing complex labors and deliveries. Throughout her career, she has attended approximately 100 births annually, developing extensive experience in supporting patients through a wide range of birth experiences.
Shelley began her nursing career in labor and delivery in 2009, spending more than a decade at Fairview Health Systems in Minneapolis before becoming a nurse-midwife. She has since practiced midwifery with Minnesota Women’s Care in St. Paul and Nuvance Health in Poughkeepsie, New York.
As a midwife, Shelley believes every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, informed, and supported. She takes the time to understand each patient’s individual goals, values, concerns, and hopes for their care, and works collaboratively with them to create a plan that feels right for their unique circumstances. Whether supporting a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy or navigating a more complex situation, Shelley is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their choices and empowered to participate in their care.
Shelley believes midwifery is about more than caring for patients during pregnancy and birth—it is about building relationships, advocating for patients, and supporting them through the many stages of their reproductive health journey. She strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their hopes and concerns, and knowing they have an advocate by their side.
Shelley is excited to join Premier Women’s Care in Cape Coral and looks forward to welcoming new patients. She is passionate about partnering with patients to understand what matters most to them and supporting their individual dreams and goals for themselves, their health, and their families.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys traveling, discovering new places, riding her bike, playing games, and enjoying live music. She recently relocated to the Cape Coral area and is having fun exploring her new community and discovering all that Southwest Florida has to offer.
