October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a Time to Act

As women, we often put our own health concerns behind everything else in our lives. We know better. We always tell ourselves we’ll do better next week, next month or next year, but we lack the follow-through. Something else always comes up. THIS time don’t put off for tomorrow what you CAN do today!

As women, we don’t just need to be made aware of breast cancer, we need to take action to prevent breast cancer. Awareness and education spark action. Breast cancer doesn’t have to be the number two cause of death in women. It could be so much less if every woman acted today.

Every woman knows someone who has or had breast cancer. Maybe herself, a family member, a friend or co-worker. Every woman knows the fear of hearing those five words: “you need additional breast imaging.” Now is the time to take that knowledge and those feelings and put them to good use.

Getting a mammogram early can be the difference between positive or negative outcomes. Don’t let another day go by without scheduling your yearly screening mammogram.

As a partner in this community, Premier Women’s Care of Southwest Florida offers screening mammograms at our Park Royal, Cape Coral and Forum locations. We have added diagnostic breast mammogram and ultrasound services at our Park Royal and Cape Coral locations to help fulfill a need in the community for more timely services.

We’re doing our part, now is the time for you to do yours. Join a breast cancer walk, donate to a breast cancer charity, give your time to help someone struggling through breast cancer. But don’t forget yourself…. Schedule your yearly screening mammogram! Call us at (239) 432-5858 to book your appointment.
